Signature Shaker In-Frame Kitchens

The Signature range is our more decorative Shaker design. Its defining feature is a fine cock-bead worked around the inside edge of the face frame, adding depth, shadow and a traditional furniture detail without making the kitchen feel over-ornate.

It is a natural choice for period homes, classic interiors and anyone who wants an in-frame kitchen with a little more character. The cabinetry can be supplied flat packed or assembled, with standard and made-to-measure options available.

What is a cock-beaded frame?

A cock-bead is a narrow raised moulding around the inner edge of the cabinet frame. It catches the light and creates a subtle shadow line around each door or drawer front. This detail has long been used in fine furniture and gives the Signature range its distinctive, traditional appearance.

The bead is applied to the frame; optional beadings can also be added to the Shaker centre panel if you want a more detailed door.

Optional centre-panel beadings

You can add one of four beading styles to the Shaker centre panel for an additional decorative detail. Because the cock-bead is already present on the frame, adding a centre-panel bead creates a more layered, classically detailed door.

Flat packed or fully assembled

Signature cabinetry is available flat packed for customers who want to reduce assembly costs, or fully built for a quicker installation on site. The visible materials and finished appearance are the same. Read our flat-pack kitchen guide to compare the two options.

Paint and finishing

Cabinet interiors are lacquered and ready to use. Exterior frames, doors and visible components are supplied primed, allowing the kitchen to be finished after installation in the colour chosen for the room. Read our painting advice before planning the finishing work.
