Our islands are created from the same cabinet units, panels, posts and finishing components used throughout the Painted Kitchen range. You can start with one of our example builds or create a different combination of drawers, cupboards, open shelving, seating and decorative details.

Send your room dimensions and the approximate space available for the island, together with any photographs, sketches or existing plans you have. It is also useful to tell us your preferred storage, seating, appliances, colour and worktop ideas. We can prepare a free, no-obligation detailed CAD plan showing the proposed dimensions and cabinet arrangement. Interactive click-through designs may also be available where appropriate.

The layout can be planned around seating, sinks, hobs and other appliances. Confirm plumbing, electrical and ventilation requirements early with your installer so that the cabinet arrangement, worktop and service positions can be considered together.

Every room is different. Allow enough space to move comfortably and to open cabinet doors, drawers and appliances without obstruction. Seating also needs room for the worktop overhang, stools and people moving behind them. Send us your measurements if you would like help checking the available space.

Yes. Your island can coordinate with the surrounding cabinets or be painted in a contrasting colour to create a more distinct, freestanding centrepiece. Confirm the colour and hardware choices before ordering.
